The sea she is to me…..
I haven’t yet figured out how to arrange these deep sea creatures or how they’ll interact and with what. The first started out as a dragonfly wing and looked like a sea slug but now I like it complete with Black pearl, sterling silver, copper, phosphor bronze.…. time will tell.

Plunging the piece in ice water so I can ball up the ends of the copper without singeing the pearls.

The edge of the darkness below in the ocean is full of bioluminescence. I want the precious metals to shine against the pearls like jellyfish creatures. Old watch parts. Argentium, Rice pearls.
I’ll be finding a way to attach them to a 250mm x 250mm frame made from recycled timber. I have some in Western Red Cedar made at Among the trees, Marrickville. Duchamp and Calder will guide me.
